1. Organizers
The Reconnection Retreat is organized by Katharina Wimmer and Pascal Philippe L. Dricot (hereinafter referred to as the organizers). By registering for the retreat, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions in full.
2. Scope of Services
The participation fee includes:
- All retreat sessions, teachings, and guided activities
- Group materials and exercises
- Airport transfer from and to Mombasa (MOI International Airport)
Not included in the participation fee are:
- Flights to and from Kenya
- Accommodation at the retreat venue
- Meals outside the retreat program
- Personal expenses or insurance
Participants are responsible for booking their flights and accommodation independently.
3. Cancellation and Refund
3.1. Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.
3.2. The following cancellation policy applies exclusively to the retreat fee:
- More than 30 days before the start: full refund minus a 10% administration fee
- 30 to 15 days before the start: 80% of the retreat fee will be refunded
- 14 days or fewer: the retreat fee is non-refundable
3.3. The retreat fee does not include flights or accommodation. Participants are responsible for managing these services separately.
3.4. If the organizers must cancel the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances, force majeure, or if the minimum number of 6 participants is not reached, the full retreat fee will be refunded.
3.5. However, the organizers do not refund or cover costs related to flights, accommodation, or third-party services under any circumstances. Participants are advised to book flexible or refundable options and to review cancellation terms of external providers.
3.6. No liability is accepted for cancellation fees, lost profits, or additional damages.
4. Participant Responsibility
4.1. Participants are responsible for their own behavior and well-being during the retreat.
4.2. If under the influence of drugs or inappropriate medication, the organizers reserve the right to exclude the participant without refund.
4.3. The organizers are not liable for personal injury, accidents, or property damage.
4.4. Upon registration, participants must disclose any health conditions or pregnancy. Exercise instructions given during the retreat are binding.
4.5. Participation with serious medical conditions is only permitted with written medical approval. Final participation decisions lie with the retreat leaders.
4.6. Participants must have valid travel insurance covering medical issues and cancellation.
5. Program Adjustments
5.1. The organizers reserve the right to modify program content, schedule, facilitators, or accommodation as needed.
5.2. Significant changes will be communicated in advance when possible.
6. Disclaimer
6.1. Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
6.2. The organizers accept no liability for injuries, illnesses, or damages of any kind.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1. All retreat materials and methods are the intellectual property of the organizers or their licensors.
7.2. Use is limited to personal, non-commercial purposes. Reproduction or distribution without written permission is prohibited.
8. Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR)
8.1. The organizers protect participants‘ privacy and handle data according to Kenyan law, aligned with European GDPR standards.
8.2. By registering, participants consent to data use for organizational purposes.
8.3. Photos and videos may be taken during the retreat for marketing use by the organizers. Please notify us in writing before the retreat if you do not wish to appear.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Austrian law. Any disputes are subject to Austrian jurisdiction.
10. Final Provisions
10.1. These Terms represent the complete agreement between organizers and participants.
10.2. Amendments require written confirmation by both parties.
